PU Expo 2026, one of the polyurethane sector’s key meeting points, will take place at the Istanbul Expo Center on 11–13 November 2026. Global polyurethane production continues to grow
Global polyurethane production is expected to increase steadily in the coming years. Production, which stood at 26 million tonnes in 2023, rises to 26.99 million tonnes in 2024, 28.01 million tonnes in 2025 and 29.08 million tonnes in 2026.
Global production is forecast to reach 30.18 million tonnes in 2027 and 31.33 million tonnes in 2028. These figures indicate that production capacity in the polyurethane sector and demand from different application areas will continue to grow.

The global polyurethane market will exceed 97 billion dollars
A similar rise is forecast in the economic size of the global polyurethane market. The market, which stood at 78.07 billion dollars in 2023, reaches 81.58 billion dollars in 2024, 85.25 billion dollars in 2025 and 89.09 billion dollars in 2026.
The market is expected to reach 93.1 billion dollars in 2027 and 97.29 billion dollars in 2028. This growth shows that global demand for polyurethane products is increasing and that the sector holds strong potential for new investment.
