The journey we began in 1994 with a Cogeneration Seminar in Istanbul evolved very quickly – thanks to the rapid development of our country’s energy sector and the keen interest of the energy community – into an Energy and Environment Fair and Conference under the name ICCI (International Cogeneration Conference of Istanbul) in 1999.
Installed electricity capacity, which barely met the country’s needs in the early 2000s, grew by an average of 5 per cent a year, exceeding 50,000 megawatts in 2010 and 100,000 megawatts in 2023.
The development that has defined the last 10 years has taken place in renewable energy, and as of 2023 the total installed capacity of hydroelectric, wind, solar, geothermal and biofuel power plants surpassed thermal installed capacity.
Türkiye, located in perhaps the hottest region of the world energy market, is expected – having been very successful in international infrastructure and energy – to increase regional trade opportunities in the short term, grow its energy industry with new investments and integrate technological transformation into its market.
In this context, as ICCI – International Energy and Environment Fair and Conference, we are working very hard to continue in the future the contribution we have made over the last 28 years of this growth and development process by creating an efficient, effective, respected and high-quality communication and events platform.
Drawing on the contributions of our extensive global experience and the strength of our knowledge of trends in the world energy market, we are honoured to share with you the joy and excitement of having already set the 2025 calendar for our fair, which brings together all market players, and our conference, which focuses on intellectual content.
The 29th ICCI – International Energy and Environment Fair and Conference will be held on 24-26 April 2025 at the Istanbul Expo Center.
ICCI, which was held in 2023 under the theme ‘Sustainable, Efficient Energy Transition Sensitive to Climate Change’ and welcomed more than 15,000 visitors from 45 countries, was held in 2024 under the theme ‘Discover the Future of Energy’ and once again created value with the most current topics on the energy agenda and technological innovations.
We will be greatly delighted and honoured to welcome you at ICCI 2025, which creates great synergy in the energy market every year with a new vision.
